During Rangers talks with Aris, a sticking point involving Jose Cifuentes is named.

After the 49ers Enterprises takeover goes through, Rangers will hopefully have a lot of money to play with in the summer transfer window. Philippe Clement frequently referred to the need to raise funds through player sales prior to bringing in new players during transfer windows. But the club will still want to get rid of some of the bad players, like Rabbi Matondo, Kieran Dowell, and Ben Davies, who are on loan.

Another is Jose Cifuentes, who is currently on loan at Greek club Aris Thessaloniki. Aris may have the option to purchase the midfielder permanently in the summer for £4.2 million. However, there have been rumors that the Greek Super Lig team may find it difficult to pay for that in the midst of their struggle to finish in the European spots. Due to his subpar performances, Cifuentes’ chances of a permanent move were once rated as “stuck.” However, the Ecuadorian’s improved performances brought him back into the manager’s good graces.
