“Behind-the-Scenes: Raskin & Diomande Share Brilliant Rangers Moment”

Nicolas Raskin and Mohamed Diomande, both Rangers, appear to enjoy their friendship both on and off the field. Over a fortnight ago, the two scored in a memorable 3-2 victory for Barry Ferguson’s team over Celtic at Parkhead.

Following the victory, Raskin and Diomande left on international duty to play for their respective nations, Belgium and Ivory Coast, respectively. The former stood out in particular in his first senior appearance for Belgium, which overcame a 3-1 defeat to Ukraine in the first leg of a Nations League play-off to win the second 3-0 and advance on aggregate.

Raskin drew a lot of attention during the game, and he recently gave Diomande, a teammate at Rangers, a national team shirt with his name and number on the back:

On Saturday, Rangers’ return to action following the international break at Dens Park featured both midfielders.

After a late goal by Cyriel Dessers, Ferguson’s team eventually prevailed over Dundee in the tumultuous match. Rangers now turn their attention to the Scottish Premiership matchup at Ibrox on Saturday, when a well-performing Hibernian team comes to town. In the first leg of their eagerly anticipated Europa League quarterfinal match, they then host Athletic Club in Govan.
